Frequently asked questions
Short answers to the things people ask before signing up.
- CVAccelerate takes your CV and a specific job description, and gives you structured outputs you can review and send: a fit analysis with a match score, tailored summaries and experience bullets, cover letters from a posting URL, interview prep with STAR answers, and polished PDF exports. Everything is grounded in what is actually in your CV — the AI never invents employers, dates, or certifications.
- No. The AI accelerates the preparation work — rewording, matching keywords, surfacing gaps — but you stay in control. You always review, edit, and choose what to send. Think of it as an extremely fast editor, not a ghostwriter.
- Plain text works best. Just copy the content of your CV (name, summary, experience, education, skills) and paste it. No PDF or DOCX upload needed — what you paste is exactly what the model reads.
- The UI is in English. Generated outputs support English and Spanish out of the box — you pick the language on each flow. More languages are coming.
- Yes. You get free credits to run a job fit analysis, generate a recruiter message, and export the Classic CV template — no credit card required.
- Credit packs never expire — best for casual or episodic use. Pro Monthly gives you 200 fresh credits each cycle plus premium templates and priority models — best if you consistently use more than about 50 credits per month. You can always start with a pack and upgrade later.
- One credit is one AI-powered action: a job fit analysis, a tailored summary or bullet rewrite, a cover letter from a URL, an interview prep session, a premium PDF export, or a LinkedIn section audit. The Classic PDF template is always free.
- If something went wrong on our end, yes — email us within 14 days of purchase and we will refund unused credits or cancel a new subscription. Credits that were already consumed cannot be refunded.
- They are stored in your private account so you can re-run flows without re-pasting. We never share your content with third parties, never use it to train models, and you can delete your account and data at any time.
- No. We call OpenAI with data processing terms that disable training on your inputs. Your CV stays your CV.
- Not currently. If that changes, we will announce it. In the meantime, you can export everything you generate and take it with you.
- Yes. All templates use selectable text (no images or complex columns that break parsers) and standard section headings that applicant tracking systems recognize.
